With developers who created Fallout and worked on Obsdian’s critically acclaimed Fallout: New VegasThe Outer Worlds looks sure to please. What do you think of it?

Original story: Obsidian Entertainment looks to be gearing up for a new game reveal at The Game Awards 2018.

The studio, recently acquired by Microsoft, is leading the charge with not one, but two, countdown timers on its own website. The countdown timers can be skipped to then reveal a series of promotional items that tease a potential sci-fi infused RPG.

Colour us intrigued.

The countdowns coincide with The Game Awards itself; event host Geoff Keighley has already confirmed that we’ll be getting more than 10 new game reveals during proceedings. Of those reveals, it’s likely we’ll hear about Alien: Blackout. Moreover, DC fans are hopeful the long-rumoured Superman: World’s Finest Will finally be confirmed.

We’ll keep you posted.

The Game Awards 2018 kick off at 12.30pm AEDT on 7 December.
