Rinse and Repeat gets a glow up to debut the service.
Radiator Forever is a free collection of Robert Yang’s experimental gay games, described by the developer as a “Gay As A Service” game that will offer up new titles alongside remasters and re-releases of existing ones as time passes.
The bundle centres around Rinse and Repeat, which has been redesigned with easier controls, alongside “minimal changes” to Hurt Me Plenty, Succulent, and Stick Shift.
It will add existing titles like The Tearoom, Hard Lads, Logjam, Rainbows Are Carnivores, and Cobra Club in the future, also adding yet to be released titles Pool Day and Two Body Problem in time. All these titles — and hopefully the AFL-inspired Ruck Me too — will be accessible when ready inside Radiator Forever.
In a blog post, Yang detailed his decision to bundle his titles under the Radiator Forever package.
“Steam storefront meta also incentivizes consolidation. Valve charges a $100 fee for every app ID, and there’s also a pretty painful time cost to configuring / updating store pages and depots. It just makes more sense to combine many small games into all-in-one collections like Last Call BBS, UFO 50, or CorgiSpace,” Yang said.
The package is also a response to changes at both Steam and Itch that have targeted not safe for work titles.
“If video games are a form of protected free speech, I do wish there was a bit more hand-wringing over blocking access to my games that were designed directly to be political speech. Instead, no video games are allowed the luxury of free expression except for the AAA blockbusters,” Yang said. “Valve loves it when Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur’s Gate 3 throw customizable genitals at you in the first five minutes, but of course I can’t, because I actually have something to say about genitals!”
For those reasons, players on both Steam and Itch may find it difficult to find Radiator Forever — Yang advises accessing the title through the following direct links:
