Our game of the year awards program is ongoing, and today’s category is Best Action-Adventure Game of 2022.
Just like yesterday, Stevivor staffers were once again just shy of a unanimous vote in this category, awarding God of War Ragnarok the honour.
“Ragnarok takes everything that was great about [God of War (2018)], and simply does it again with mild tweaks for the better to almost everything,” Ben wrote in his review. “Blink and you’ll miss it.
“The combat is very similar, complete with its flawed camera, and deeply satisfying flow of brutal attacks chained together. It’s a familiar guilty pleasure, with a little more speed and more variety through projectiles with Atreus and his bow taking a playable role at select moments.”
God of War Ragnarok is now available on PS4 and PS5.
