Crackdown 3 delayed to 2019, new report suggests

Crackdown 3 will be delayed to 2019, according to a new report from Kotaku.

Kotaku says “two people familiar with the game’s release plans” have confirmed the delay, just days after Amazon Spain began to cancel Crackdown 3 pre-orders.

The sources say that alleged delay is to “give the development team the time it needs” at the same time it means that Crackdown 3 won’t be competing with Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2.

Microsoft addressed the Amazon Spain pre-order cancellations saying it was merely a mistake on the sake of the retailer. Microsoft did not confirm or deny a delay.

Until confirmation from Microsoft, Crackdown 3 is expected to release in 2018 across Windows PC and Xbox One. The title is an Xbox Play Anywhere title that will be added to the Xbox Game Pass program at launch.

Microsoft is sure to detail Crackdown 3 during its E3 2018 press conference.
