Crackdown 3 cancelled orders a mistake by Amazon, Microsoft says

Crackdown 3 pre-orders cancelled by Amazon Spain are a mistake on Amazon’s part, Microsoft has confirmed.

Amazon Spain unexpectedly began to cancel pre-orders of the game earlier this week, leading many to assume that the title had been delayed into 2019.

Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg responded — in part — to the rumours of another delay.

“The team continues to work hard on the game for our fans,” he wrote. “You should contact Amazon directly for any questions related to orders with them.”

Greenberg’s response is curious — he doesn’t directly address the possibility of another delay.

Crackdown 3 was first expected in late 2017 before a delay into this year.

We’ll have more on Crackdown 3 as information is made available. The title is planned for Xbox One and Windows PC as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere and Xbox Game Pass programs.
