Devil May Cry 5 may be a PS4 exclusive, according to a new report.
As yet unannounced by Capcom, this new bundle of rumours says Devil May Cry 5 was originally to have been announced at this year’s PlayStation Expo. Instead, “Sony decided to scale back on PSX and instead scale up E3 2018,” a report on Resetera claims. “DMCV was an unfortunate casualty of this choice.”
The report alleges that the game has “some form” of PlayStation exclusivity, either as a console exclusive, timed exclusive or just a straight up PS4-exclusive title like Spider-Man or The Last of Us 2.
“Sony is paying for some of the funding for the game,” the report continues.
It should be noted that the report comes from a writer who represents “a Devil May Cry community” who has “been aware of the existence of a new DMC game.” The author doesn’t detail how he or she has obtained the information.
Rumours of Devil May Cry 5 sparked up earlier in the week when Capcom registered a domain name for the game.
