Nintendo has confirmed that it has suspended shipments of the Nintendo Switch to Russia in the wake of the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
“We have decided to suspend shipping all Nintendo products to Russia for the foreseeable future,” a Nintendo spokesperson said to Eurogamer. “This is due to considerable volatility surrounding the logistics of shipping and distributing physical goods.”
The publisher also confirmed that the “Nintendo eShop in Russia is currently under maintenance following the suspension of transactions in Russian rubles by the payment provider.”
Nintendo had no further comment regarding the situation in Ukraine.
The company’s action follows similar steps taken by Sony, Activision Blizzard, EA, Epic Games, Microsoft, Take-Two and Ubisoft.
