New Xbox Bang & Olufsen headphones cost $499 USD

That's as much as an Xbox Series X.

Xbox and Bang & Olufsen have partnered to create the Xbox Limited Series Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal Headphones, a set of cans that cost the same as an Xbox Series X: $499 USD.

The headphones are the first from the Designed for Xbox Limited Series range, in which Microsoft has worked with its partners “to test quality, performance, safety, and security with all Xbox hardware experiences.”

Already, the Black Anthracite headset is available for purchase in the USA and Canada from today, while the Grey Mist and Navy Brass versions are available for pre-order. The headphones have an Australian-facing page, but pre-orders, nor pricing aren’t available as yet.

If these headphones are a bit too pricey for your liking, Xbox has recently released a new wireless headset, priced at $150 AUD. Said headset earned our seal of approval.
