But it can be unlocked through gameplay, as we've also learned.
Update: The announcement is now official, with a swanky new video available that shows the suit off. It’s below.
Original story: Spider-Man pre-order bonus information keeps flying at us like the Vulture — this time, a second costume has been confirmed as instantly unlockable.
Joining the Spider-Punk suit is the Iron Spider costume, one made for Peter Parker by Iron Man, Tony Stark, in the comics… and one made for Peter by Iron Man to be worn in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War feature film. The PS4 suit is inspired by the film version, not the comic version.
The suit was showcased in a video published to Twitter by user MarvelousRealm, but the video (and the account itself) have since been removed. While it looks like the user was slightly ahead of Insomniac’s PR machine, we’ve got a screencap from the video above.
Nevertheless, you can’t truly delete something from the internet — that knowledge is ours now. The Iron Spider costume joins the Spider-Punk suit as two of at least three suits that will be gifted to those who pre-order.
As Insomniac also detailed, the pre-order suits will be instantly unlocked for users and available to wear in-game as soon as Peter is able to as part of the narrative. Those who haven’t pre-ordered will still have the chance to earn the costumes as part of gameplay.
Spider-Man is a PS4 exclusive due 7 September. We’ve all you need to know about the game, right here.
