Cayde’s Spicy Ramen Quest now active in Destiny 2

Cayde’s Spice Ramen Quest is now available inside Destiny 2. The trouble is, it doesn’t do much.

Players have known about the quest for a while now thanks to a datamine (that also provides a lot of spoilery details and it best to avoid). The quest itself is one that was once believed to fully take place ahead of the game’s 4 September Forsaken release; now, it appears it will unlock in parts. This first instalment involves grabbing the Expired Ramen Coupon from the ramen shop inside the Tower.

Not sure where that is? Easy — it’s in the section of the Tower where Ikora and Hawthorne are found, along the back of the wall on the opposite side of both heroic NPCs. It’s also, you know, marked on the map (as above). Popping by the shop will earn you the Coupon, though it doesn’t have a use as yet. That’s been confirmed by Bungie over on Twitter — for now, all we can do is grab the ticket and wait.

It’s likely the Coupon will get a use just before Forsaken… or more likely, just after the expansion launches. After all, ramen is tied to Cayde-6, and Bungie has already confirmed the popular Exo Hunter will certainly die when Forsaken launches. Stevivor was the first to report that Cayde-6’s voice actor, Nathan Fillion, wasn’t reprising his role for the expansion.

For now? Speculate away — but make sure you go and grab that Coupon!

Destiny 2 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. The Forsaken expansion is available from 4 September. Its in-game Solstice of Heroes event ends this week, though Guardians do have time to masterwork armour afterward.
