EA has thankfully done away with the Premium Pass in Battlefield 5, providing new content to all players rather than those who pony up more cash after release.
“There’s no more Premium Pass in Battlefield 5,” Senior Development Director, Ryan McArthur, confirmed. “No more paying for expansions, maps – no more community segmentation.
“I know the community has been asking for this; I know the dev team has been asking for this. We want to incentivise the community to play as the whole.”
New Battlefield 5 content will be delivered through the new sytsem, The Tides of War, which will offer new campaign content alongside special, limited-time modes as more.
Battlefield 5 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 no later than 19 October.
