As Dusk Falls companion app explained

You can already get it on Android ahead of launch!

The As Dusk Falls companion app was today explained by developer INT./NIGHT and Xbox Game Studios.

“The As Dusk Falls Companion App is a free app available on iOS or Android devices,” Microsoft explained. “It allows you to control actions within the game, including quick time events and voting. It does not broadcast the game to your phone, it acts as an input device – like a controller or mouse and keyboard.”

The app will be available on both iOS (OS 12.0+) or Android (v4.4+). We’ve already found the app on Android, but not iOS. Links are as follows:

Either companion app can be used to connect to the game on PC or Xbox. The phone with the app will need to be on the same network as your platform of choice. Up to 8 players can play at one time.

“When starting a game on your PC or console, choose or create a saved game profile,” Microsoft continued. “Next, choose ‘Change Input Device.’ This leads to a screen with a short code. Enter the code in the As Dusk Falls controller app and you can now control your game cursor!”

As Dusk Falls heads to Windows PC, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X on 19 July 2022, also available through Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. We previewed it here.
