Gifting games on Xbox One is now available to Xbox Insiders, and will head to the rest of us soon enough. Microsoft has recently taken to Twitter to answer some frequently-asked questions about the new program.
As we explained earlier in the month, Insiders can now purchase a game for a friend — he or she will be emailed a code that can then be redeemed for the content.
Thanks to Mike Ybarra, we now know that there’s no expiry date on a gifted game — a recipient doesn’t have a set amount of time to redeem a gifted title.

Moreover, if you’ve given a game that’s already owned by that recipient, he or she can either re-gift to a third person, or get the original purchaser a refund.
