Xbox, Nintendo, PlayStation reportedly skipping E3 2023

Big hitters Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation will reportedly be skipping E3 2023.

The report comes from IGN, which says that all three video games publishers will not have a presence in the Los Angeles Convention Centre (LACC) during the ESA’s big showing.

That said, Microsoft will be taking over the Microsoft Theatre just down the road from the LACC during what will likely be the same period of time as E3 2023 itself. We’ll keep you informed as more of Microsoft’s plans are known.

Furthering the report, VGC says that Nintendo has backed out of this year’s events as it doesn’t have a strong enough slate of upcoming games to justify such a big expense. The outlet counters IGN with sources who claim that Microsoft will have a “business and media presence similar to last year’s Gamescom, if not a traditional booth.”
