But there's a fix in the works.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers are complaining that they can’t access CrossfireX‘s single-player campaign as part of their subscription.
Thankfully, Microsoft has advised it’s aware of the issue and is working on a fix. While we wait, we remind Xbox Game Pass subscribers that they shouldn’t go ahead and drop cash on the campaign in the meantime.
“We’re aware that users may be unable to acquire the CrossfireX campaign content as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription, and we’re working to resolve,” Microsoft said on Twitter. The company’s Xbox Status page currently says it’s “close to resolving the issue”.
The big drawcard here is that CrossfireX‘s single-player portion was created by Remedy Entertainment, the same people behind Control, Alan Wake and Max Payne. The latter’s bullet time effect is said to make an appearance in this new title.
Players who can’t access the single-player campaign without cost should have access to multiplayer in the meantime.
CrossfireX is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
