Wolverine game to take place in same Marvel universe as Spider-Man

Insomniac's continuing with its own thing...

Insomniac Games’ upcoming Wolverine game will take place in the same universe as Spider-Man, Spider-Man Miles Morales and the recently released Spider-Man 2, the studio has recently confirmed.

Speaking with Kinda Funny Games, Spider-Man 2 director Bryan Intihar made the confirmation.

When asked if Wolverine and Spider-Man shared the same universe, Inithar said, “they’re all 1048. I think I got that right, but yeah.”

Inthiar is referring to Earth-1048, the designation for the universe that houses Insomniac’s Spider-Man series of games. For further reference, most mainline Marvel comics take place on Earth-616, while the Marvel Cinematic Universe is focused on Earth-199999.

Spider-Man 2 is currently available on PS5; we reviewed it here… and also noticed Miles has a suit heavily inspired by Wolverine himself.

Wolverine was announced back in 2021 and is also a PS5 exclusive; we’ll keep you informed of its progress.
