Switch sales have already matched the Nintendo 64’s 32 million

Nintendo Switch sales have hit 32.27 million units worldwide in just under two years on the market.

Having already surpassed the Wii U (13.56 million) and GameCube (21.74 million), the Switch has effectively matched, and is about to surpass, the Nintendo 64’s 32.93 million lifetime sales.

Despite strong numbers, Nintendo slightly reduced its forecast 20 million sales between April 2018 and March 2019 to 17 million.

Switch now has five games that have surpassed 10 million sales, with Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee! joining the ranks since its launch in November 2018. Super Smash Bros Ultimate has also made the list, with 12 million sales since its launch in December. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe leads the list, with 15 million sales, which is rounded out by Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
