Could Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Titanfall 3 both be released in 2019?

Since being acquired by EA, Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment has been working on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen OrderConsidering Star Wars Episode IX is scheduled to hit cinemas in December next year, that’s a lock for late 2019. But could we also see Titanfall 3?

Prepared statements from EA’s financial call say: “Across multiple studios, we have new projects underway, including games from Respawn that are slated to launch by next holiday season.”

Is the plural “games” indicating that Respawn has more than one 2019 title in development?

While Titanfall 3 hasn’t been officially announced, we know Respawn is working on another game in the series, and it would come three years after the critically successful, but commercially disappointing, Titanfall 2.

However, those disappointing sales were partly attributed to EA competing against itself, with Battlefield 1 launching almost at the same time. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a very different game to Battlefield and Battlefront, as an action-adventure game set shortly after the events of Revenge of the Sith. But Respawn would surely be nervous to compete against itself for sales, as well as EA, so if they are both to be 2019 titles, expect Titanfall 3 to be given a different release window.
