Finally!
The Stalker 2 release date has been set for 5 September on PC and Xbox, developer GSC Game World has today declared.
Alongside the news came a new trailer for the title, which can be found below.
Announced back in 2020, Stalker 2 was originally targeting a 2022 release date before complications as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine made that an impossibilty.
The title was first delayed into later 2022, then delayed indefinitely as a result of the invasion, and then aimed for a 2023 release. The title was finally delayed into 2024 back in August last year.
Stalker 2 also made headlines when developer GSC Game World planned to include non-fungible tokens (NFTs) into the title. That decision was quickly reversed after player backlash.
Stalker 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X sometime in Q1 2024. It’ll also be available inside Xbox Game Pass.
