The best of both worlds!
A new Spider-Man Miles Morales update will offer up a new 60FPS (frames-per-second) mode complete with ray-tracing. Fittingly enough, it’s called “Performance RT” mode.
In order to hit those heights — arguably the best settings you should be using while playing — Miles Morales will adjust scene resolution, reflection quality and NPC density accordingly. While you’ll notice that Harlem’s a little less busy than it used to be, we’d say it’s worth it for a high frame-rate and ray-tracing in one bundle.
If you’re not looking to compromise, you can also choose between a resolution and ray-tracing mode (at 30FPS) or a 60FPS mode without ray-tracing.
Spider-Man Miles Morales is out now on PS4 and PS5; this update is for the current-gen console only. We reviewed the game here.
