Spider-Man Miles Morales game saves will work across PS4 & PS5

Spider-Man Miles Morales game saves will work across PS4 and PS5 editions, developer Insomniac Games recently confirmed.

“Hi there, you will be able to transfer your save to PS5,” Insomniac tweeted to an inquisitive fan. “We’ll share details closer to launch.”

While this is ultimately good news, it makes Spider-Man Miles Morales all the more confusing. While that title’s game saves will be supported across both, Insomniac has already confirmed that game saves from the original Spider-Man on PS4 won’t be compatible with Spider-Man Remastered on PS5, a title that’s bundled in Miles Morales‘ Ultimate Edition.

On top of all this, it’s extremely likely that Spider-Man game saves on PS4 will work on PS5 using backwards compatibility, but Sony has yet to actually confirm this. Additionally, it’s unclear how Miles Morales’ game save transfer will actually work and if a transfer from PS5 back to PS4 is possible. We’ll keep you posted.

Spider-Man is available on PS4 right now; Spider-Man Miles Morales heads to PS4 and PS5 on 12 November.
