Skull and Bones delayed into 2020, won’t appear at E3 2019

Skull & Bones has been delayed into 2020 and won’t feature at E3 2019, Ubisoft has today confirmed.

The news comes just a month before E3 2019 itself.

“We’re going to batten down the hatches and push back on the game’s arrival—this is a challenging news for us all, but it’s what’s needed to make Skull & Bones as awesome as it can be,” reads a post on the game’s official Twitter account.

“Our focus remains on quality first and we’re grateful for your undying support.”

First announced at E3 2017, we had the chance to check out Skull & Bones in that year alongside E3 2018. While the pirate ship combat felt solid, systems and gameplay around it didn’t… if said systems were there at all. It looks like Ubisoft might have realised that and will be beefing up content accordingly. We’ll keep you posted.

Skull & Bones is planned for release on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
