PS5 has 667GB of usable SSD storage space, report suggests

The PS5 will have 667GB of usable SSD storage space, a new report from Twitter user — and Stevivor content “borrower” — @Okami13_ suggests.

Citing a now-removed YouTube video as the source of the report, Okami posted images that feature a PS5 sporting Russian language UI. One of two images indicates the PS5 allegedly has an available internal SSD storage size of 667.176GB; the second image surmises that space is reduced to 648.352GB “with Astro’s Playroom installed”.

From released specifications, we do know that the PS5 has a custom 825GB SSD.

Stevivor’s own preview of the Xbox Series X has indicated it has a usable space of 802GB from its total 1TB. An earlier report today suggests the Xbox Series S has an available 365GB of a 512GB SSD.

Sony hasn’t detailed the full storage space available, and we’re unable to confirm this figure at the time of writing.

The PS5 hits store shelves on 12 November.
