Rick and Morty dropped a trailer for God of War Ragnarok, just because

God of War Ricknarok...

In an out of this world transmedial pairing, Adult Swim has partnered with Sony to release a God of War Ragnarok trailer starring Rick and Morty.

It’s not the first partnership between the animated comedy duo and Sony. The two also appeared in a promo piece for the PlayStation 5 shortly before its release.

In the most recent instalment of the PlayStation X Rick and Morty cinematic universe, Rick tries his hand at some Kratos cosplay before dragging Morty through a portal to the Nine Realms.

It’s a fun little piece of metacommentary on video games marketing while still being one of the more shameless examples of video games marketing.

Speaking of which, wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t let you know that God of War Ragnarok is set to release on 9 November for PS4 and PS5.

Since 2020, I've written about videogames in whatever capacity my journalism studies have allowed.

When I'm not plugged in to whatever open-world, action-adventure is the flavour of the month, I'm painting Warhammer miniatures and role-playing a bard in D&D.
