Resident Evil: Vendetta heads to theatres in Canada, USA in June

Resident Evil: Vendetta, the latest in the CGI Resident Evil film series, will be aired in North American theatres, Sony today confirmed.

Sony will team up with Fathom Events to screen the film across theatres continent-wide from 19 June, the pair confirmed.

Canadian theatregoers can check screening times and locations on the Cineplex website from 24 March. Those in the USA can head here to buy tickets from 31 March.

Vendetta is the sequel to 2008’s Resident Evil: Degeneration and its 2012 follow-up, Resident Evil: Damnation. It stars franchise favourites Leon S. Kennedy (Matt Mercer), Chris Redfield (Kevin Dorman) and Rebecca Chambers (Erin Cahill).

Resident Evil: Vendetta has an international release date of 27 May. While it’s already been confirmed the film will screen in theatres in Japan, it’s unclear if the same will happen here in Australia. We’ve asked Sony Australia for comment.
