Psychonauts 2 is launching on Xbox Series X and S, PC and Xbox Cloud on 25 August 2021, Xbox announced during its E3 Showcase.
Developed by the now first party studio Double Fine Productions, Psychonauts 2 was originally announced as a multiplatform title all the way back in 2015. As Microsoft is honouring legacy deals from the companies it has acquired, it is expected to also launch on PlayStation and Mac OS, but that wasn’t made clear during E3.
“Combining quirky missions and mysterious conspiracies, Psychonauts 2 is a platform-adventure game with cinematic style and tons of customisable psychic powers,” said Xbox at E3. “Psychonauts 2 serves up danger, excitement, and laughs in equal measure as players guide Raz on a journey through the minds of friends and foes on a quest to defeat a murderous psychic villain.”
Expect Psychonauts 2 from 25 August on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and Xbox Cloud Gaming, also part of the Xbox Game Pass program.
