PSVR2 Australian pricing revealed, pushes $1,000 AUD

PSVR2 Australian pricing was today revealed, and Aussies are looking at price tags creeping ever so close to $1,000 AUD.

Sony said overnight that we’ll have two SKUs to choose from at the device’s 22 February 2023 launch: a standard PSVR2 bundle at $879.95 AUD and one that also comes with Horizon Call of the Mountain for $959.95 AUD.

Here’s what’s in each bundle, alongside other global pricepoints:

  • PlayStation VR2
    • Includes PS VR2 headset, PS VR2 Sense controllers and stereo headphones
    • $549.99 USD, €599.99, £529.99, ¥74,980, $749.99 CAD, $879.95 AUD
  • PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle
    • Includes PS VR2 headset, PS VR2 Sense controllers, stereo headphones, and Horizon Call of the Mountain
    • $599.99 USD, €649.99, £569.99, ¥79,980, $819.99 CAD, $959.95 AUD

Sony will also sell a VR2 Sense charging station for $49.99 USD, €49.99, £39.99, ¥5,480, $ CAD or $79.95 AUD.

It’s an expensive time to be a PS5 player — not only has Sony raised the price of the console itself by $50 AUD, but it’s just been announced that In addition to today’s announcement of PSVR2 pricing, 11 new PSVR2 games were detailed by Sony and its partners..
