PlayStation VR gets a permanent price drop around the world

Sony has introduced a permanent price reduction to its PlayStation VR bundle around the world.

From today, those in the US, Japan and Europe can take advantage, with the VR bundle’s price dropping to $299 USD from $399 USD, to 34,980 yen from 44,980 yen or to £259.99 from £349.99, respectively.

Those in Australia and New Zealand will be able to take advantage of the bundle’s price reduction from 2 April. Australian pricing has been confirmed as $419.95 AUD, a reduction from $549 AUD.

The bundle’s slightly different per region, with DOOM VFR being offered in the USA and PlayStation VR Worlds offered in Europe and Australia.

Does this make you want to invest in a console-based VR unit? Why or why not?
