PlayStation Camera adaptor delivery delays acknowledged by Sony

Your adaptor should arrive soon (that is, if it hasn't already).

PlayStation Camera adaptor delivery delays have recently been acknowledged by Sony, making it difficult for some customers to use their PlayStation VR units on PS5.

“If you haven’t already received your PlayStation Camera adaptor, this email is to let you know that it is on its way to you,” an email from Sony to customers reads. “Unfortunately we’re currently experiencing shipment delays, so delivery is taking longer than planned.”

The email continues on to say that the publisher hopes “to be able to fulfil your order in approximately seven to eight weeks, but in some cases delivery may require even longer than this time frame.”

Finally, the email advises that “PlayStation Camera adaptors are not intended for sale.”

The adaptor is required to use a PlayStation VR system on PS5; if you’ve not yet registered to receive a free adaptor, you can do so here.

The PS5 is out now, though availability is limited. You can use this handy website in your efforts to purchase one.
