Sony’s offering a free PSVR adaptor for PS5 — necessary if you want to use the peripheral on your next-gen console — and we now know how you can claim it.
- If you own a PSVR unit, head to the website that services your region:
- You’ll need to complete a CAPTCHA to prove you’re not a ghost in the machine.
- You’ll then need your PSVR serial number, found on the back of the PSVR processing unit.
- Complete the remainder of the form, filling in contact information.
Relatively simple, eh? The adaptor is necessary to connect the PSVR unit to your PS5, meaning you won’t be able to play VR games until you’ve got it. Godspeed, mailmen.
“Your request for a PlayStation®Camera Adaptor has been received,” reads a confirmation email sent after you’ve submitted the form. “We will contact you again about the status of your request. If granted, shipments are expected to begin around mid-November 2020.”
An FAQ about the camera adaptor can be found here.
The PS5 heads to store shelves on 12 November.
