Microsoft is giving away the original Crackdown — playable on Xbox One and Xbox 360 — for free to promote the upcoming release of Crackdown 3 this month.
This isn’t the first time Microsoft has slashed the price of Crackdown to $0.00, it was free as recently as November last year, but if you missed it now is your chance. It’s available on the Xbox Marketplace, alongside the Free For All and Four Play Packs, which are also free.
Crackdown is one of a few selected backwards compatible Xbox 360 games that has been enhanced for Xbox One X with 4K support.
Crackdown 3 launches on 15 February for Xbox One and Windows PC, and is available with Game Pass subscription.
