A new Star Trek Strange New Worlds teaser focuses on Captain Pike, as played by Anson Mount.
Strange New Worlds will centre around Pike in command of the U.S.S. Enterprise, ahead of the ship’s famously documented adventures with Captain James T. Kirk at the helm.
While this trailer is decidedly about Pike, Rebecca Romijn’s Number One is also featured in a voiceover monologue.
“Our first visit from the stars is always the province of children’s stories and science fiction until one day, it isnt,” she says.
Mount and Romijn will reprise their roles alongside Ethan Peck as Spock; the trio first appeared in Star Trek Discovery. Joining the Enterprise crew are Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura, Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, and more.
Star Trek Strange New Worlds debuts on Paramount+ on 5 May.
