Uhura, Chapel and M'Benga join the crew.
Star Trek Strange New Worlds has three more legacy characters in addition to the triad of Pike, Spock and Number One, it was today revealed.
Series leads Anson Mount (Captain Pike), Ethan Peck (Spock) and Rebecca Romijn (Number One) will be joined by Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel (pictured above) and Babs Olusanmokun as Dr M’Benga.
A host of new characters will fill out the Enterprise’s bridge crew, including Bruce Horak as Hemmer, Melissa Navia as Lt Erica Ortegas and Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh.

The series is a bit of a spin-off from Star Trek Discovery — or a prequel of sorts to the original Star Trek — and will focus on the U.S.S. Enterprise as commanded by Anson Mount’s Captain Christopher Pike. Pike served as Captain on the NCC-1701 ahead of William Shatner’s Captain James T. Kirk.
We’ll report back on local availability of Star Trek Strange New Worlds when more is known.
