Hex Nut Pokémon Meltan is Pokemon Go’s newest addition, developer Niantic recently confirmed.
“If you’ve caught a Ditto in [Pokémon Go] recently… you might want to take a closer look,” the game’s official Twitter account wrote. “We can now confirm reports of wild Ditto transforming into the new Hex Nut Pokémon, Meltan!”
If, like me, you’ve caught a Meltan in the wild and watched (rather confused) as it turned into Ditto — and then transferred it away — it’s back to the drawing board for you. Better luck next time.
Meltan is actually a new Pokémon — and is now available in Pokémon Go for the express purpose of being caught in-game and then transferred (eventually) to Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee on Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has recently detailed how the game-to-game transfer will work.
Have you caught a Meltan yet?
