Melbourne International Games Week 2021 coming 2-10 October

And lots of it will be online.

Melbourne International Games Week 2021 is slated for 2-10 October, with a number of events ready and raring to go.

The week will be comprised of over thirty events, both online and in person.

Among the events are the Australian Game Developer Awards (AGDAs), the three-day Games 4 Change, PAX AUS Online and the Melbourne Queer Games Festival 2021.

“Melbourne International Games Week is an incredible celebration of innovation, creativity and fun – further cementing Victoria’s position as the heart of Australia’s thriving games industry,” said the Victorian Minister for Creative Industries, Danny Pearson.

“This is set to be another fantastic Melbourne International Games Week, showcasing local games talent and programs for the whole family to enjoy,” he continued. “We are proud to support our digital games sector, with $120.7 million in new funding toward our ground-breaking VICSCREEN strategy which is set to bring even more opportunities for this growing industry.”
