Lady Gaga heads to Fortnite (after asking what it was 5 years ago)

And she also fixed her typo!

Lady Gaga is the latest pop culture superstar to head to Fortnite… a whopping five years after taking to social media to ask what “fortnight” even was.

Mother Monster took to Twitter back in October 2019, simply asking “What’s fortnight”. Flash forward to today, and she’s used the same tweet to promote an upcoming appearance in the Harmonix-fuelled Fortnite Festival.

“*fortnite,” she posted in a correction to her original tweet, while at the same time posting the image you can see above. The image also has the date of 22 February 2024 posted on it, which will likely actually fall a day later here in Australia: 23 February 2024, or this Friday.

That date corresponds with the launch of Fortnite Festival‘s second season, so it’s likely that’s not a coincidence. Festival‘s first season spotlighted artist The Weekend.

If you’re unfamiliar with Fortnite Festival, it was one of three new experiences recently added to the not-Battle Royale. Think Harmonix’s Rock Band series and you’ll be on the right track… and even moreso in future, when Rock Band peripherals are supported in the mode.

Fortnite is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and Switch. It’s also available on iOS, Android and PC via cloud-based streaming.
