Joseph Staten returns to Halo to help save Halo Infinite

Halo writer Joseph Staten will return to Halo in an attempt to help save the beleaguered Halo Infinite, 343 Industries today announced.

Staten has held many roles with Bungie and Microsoft, including Writer and Director of Cinematics for Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Writer on Halo 3 and Halo Reach, and Writer and Creative Director on Halo 3 ODST and Destiny. He’s also served as a Creative Consultant on Halo Wars. If this wasn’t impressive enough, Staten’s also served as Senior Creative Director at Microsoft, helping to launch (or try to launch) titles like Scalebound and the upcoming Tell Me Why.

“And last, but certainly not least, we’re excited to announce that our old friend Joseph Staten will be returning home to Halo for a bit,” a new Halo Waypoint post reads. “After helping launch Tell Me Why this week, he’ll be coming on board as project lead for campaign as we push towards our 2021 release. The team has been working hard realizing our vision for campaign and we’re happy to have Joseph’s help to get it to the finish line.”

Halo Infinite has been delayed into 2021, expected on Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
