Destiny 2 players have long thought some of the game’s planets would be destroyed to make room for new content, but that theory was given some credence today with a teeny little icon.
Players who travel to Titan and speak with Sloane, the planet’s vendor, have noticed that the New Pacific Arcology Emblem is now accompanied by a “Limited Time” icon, while similar emblems offered by vendors on Mars, the EDZ, Io and more are not. While it’s certainly not confirmation by Bungie that Titan is doomed, fans are certainly speculating.
“I actually think it would be cool [if Titan was destroyed],” redditor iiDutchboyy wrote. “FINALLY some consequence in the game. Something that matters.”
Other players don’t necessarily think Titan will be lost to us.
“OR the expansion has a focus on Titan, and the arcology will be expanded,” RazekPraxis offered.
We’ve gone to Bungie to ask about the limited time icon and will report back as more is known. Guardians are currently encouraged to work together to complete The Lie quest and obtain the Felwinter’s Lie Exotic shotgun.
Destiny 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Stadia where available. The game is planned for a release on both Xbox Series X and PS5.
