Aussie a finalist in the WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge

An Aussie has made it as a finalist in the WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge, 2K has today confirmed.

Aussie David Hoey from Sydney (above, top left) will fill one of four spots alongside Gregory Davis and Stephan T. Benson from the USA and Roman Droßard from Pfalzfeld, Germany.

As the final round of the competition will pit the winner against the WWE’s AJ Styles, the finalists will be paired with an appropriate mentor in the form of an WWE Superstar. The mentors include Kofi Kingston and Big E of The New Day alongside Paige, Ember Moon and our personal favourite, The Miz.

All WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge activities will take place on 6 April, and include:

  • Semifinals: WrestleMania Axxess at approximately 4.00 am AEST
  • Finale: NXT TakeOver Pre-Show at approximately 9.30 am AEST

The finals will be streamed on Fox Sports digital platforms alongside the WWE on Youtube, Facebook and Twitter.

“Embracing ‘Never Say Never’ – the campaign theme for WWE 2K19 – is exactly what these finalists have accomplished in the virtual ring,” AJ Styles said of the competition. “My journey as the game’s cover Superstar has been absolutely incredible, and it’s all now leading to an epic showdown at Barclays Centre, with the WWE Universe able to watch all the action in a variety of ways. The WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge finale will be nothing short of phenomenal.”

Good luck to David! While we wait for him to compete, you can check out his winning WWE promo below.

WWE 2K19 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
