Rocket League now supports cross-platform play, but not on PS4

Psyonix has recently announced that Rocket League will support cross-platform play as planned. The catch? It’s only between Windows PC and Xbox One.

The goal for Rocket League was to have cross-platform play on PC, Xbox One and PS4, but it appears that Sony hasn’t come to the table.

“We’re really excited to bring Xbox One and PC players closer together,” said Jeremy Dunham, Vice President of Psyonix. “Cross-network play has been something that Xbox One gamers have been asking us for since the day we launched, and thanks to Microsoft’s new cross-network policies, we’re proud to give it to them.”

Psyonix made no mention of Sony in their press release.

Cross-platform play goes live very soon.

Update: Reader Mark rightfully points out that cross-platform play is also available between PC and PS4, but not all three platforms together. Looks like PC players have the pick of the litter!
