Melbourne’s Beta Bar to open during PAX AUS; we’ve a free weekend double pass to give away!

Good news, readers! Not only has the Beta Bar reached its Pozible goal and will be open all PAX AUS weekend, we’ve got a double pass to the venue to give away. For every single night.

The Beta Bar promises over 40 board and card games alongside consoles including Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and other retro offerings. Also at the bar will be an Oculus Rift, Guitar Hero on stage and (responsibly served) alcohol.

Sweet, sweet, end-of-PAX-day alcohol.

“We’re still in shock that we have the opportunity to basically hold the biggest Geeky Party that’s ever been done before in a huge 300 capacity club with literally everything we could dream up available,” said Skaidris Gunsmith, Beta Bar co-founder. “And to think we’re going to be able to do this monthly is amazing. We couldn’t be more excited!”

The Beta Bar will be open from 7pm – 3am AEST on 31 October and 1 and 2 November — also known as the nights that PAX AUS 2014 is on — in the upstairs portion of the Portland Hotel, 127 Russell Street, Melbourne.

Tickets are $15 per night to attend and you must be 18+ to enter.

If you’d like to win one double pass to gain entry to the Beta Bar every single night it’s open during PAX AUS, hit up the comments below and tell us what you’re most looking forward to at PAX AUS and the Beta Bar itself. We’ll select a random entry at 12.00 noon on 29 August. Good luck!
