Beast of Reincarnation provides new look at combat

Check it out.

Game Freak has provided a new look at combat within its upcoming title, Beast of Reincarnation.

“The video features strategic, command-based combat where players balance attacking, parrying and powerful special attacks to overcome enemies,” Game Freak said in a press release. “As Emma and Koo defeat bosses, they unlock new combat skills and techniques, allowing players to experiment with a wide variety of playstyles and build combinations throughout their journey.”

You can check out the four-minute video below, which details health systems and general UI, parrying, Bloom Arts, team battles, boss battles, and more.

“Master the synergy between Emma and her loyal companion, Koo,” Game Freak and publisher Fictions continued. “Learn how to break enemy Down Gauges, execute perfectly timed parries to restore FP, and unleash devastating ‘Bloom Arts’ to control the battlefield. From massive, blighted boss encounters to intricate team battles, experiment with an expansive skill tree to build your playstyle.”

If you like what you see, you don’t have long to wait for the full game — expect Beast of Reincarnation from 4 August on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
