Already available on PC and mobile (in 2015 and 2013, respectively), action-adventure game Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas will be released on PS4 and Xbox One on September 7, publisher FDG Entertainment has announced — at least we assume it will; digital games from small publishers have a frustrating knack of not bothering to launch on the Australian Xbox and PlayStation Stores.
With an 85% rating on Metacritic, Oceanhorn was unanimously compared to The Legend of Zelda series by critics — the gameplay trailer has a Wind Waker semblance and the puzzle-solving gameplay resembles the top-down viewpoint of the 3DS games.
The publisher openly admits to the imitation of Nintendo’s flagship franchise, and calls it a “carefully crafted love letter” to Zelda and Final Fantasy.
