Xbox head Phil Spencer took to Twitter to confirm that the reveal of Halo 5: Guardians was just one of a series of pre-E3 announcements that Microsoft is planning to make.
Spencer engaged with a number of Xbox fans on Twitter to explain the strategy.
@bmuny101 There are a few things coming prior to E3. Show is getting set so easier to see what we want to talk about prior.

@AkkaksMichael Yea, wanted to make the show entertaining. Some special things I want to show so needed to do some things early.

Even though Microsoft just announced plans to sell a Kinect-less Xbox One from June, Spencer also said the peripheral will feature at E3.
@Xone_br33 @lenrulesdaworld You will see new Kinect games and work from platform on Kinect.

Finally, while Spencer asserted he’s making more of an emphasis on PC gaming and the Xbox brand, we won’t be seeing much of that this year at E3.
@KillTheZombiess @TilSkywalker I'm very focused on PC right now. Probably not E3 but through summer you'll hear more.
