Microsoft will upgrade its Project xCloud servers with blades based off the Xbox Series X in 2021, The Verge reports.

Moreover, the outlet reports that Microsoft is also trialling powerful PC blades in order to stream PC-only titles over Project xCloud as well. The news comes alongside a report that Microsoft is preparing to launch a full release of the streaming application on Android phones next year while iOS complications in the form of App Store guidelines are providing to be a hurdle.

The report affirms a statement from Microsoft to Stevivor last year at X019 in London. We’ll have more on Project xCloud as it becomes available.
