Xbox Cloud Gaming PC, iOS testing begins today

Though not in Australia.

Xbox Cloud Gaming PC and iOS testing has started up today with a select group of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users, Microsoft has today confirmed.

“Starting [20 April], we’ll begin sending out invites to select Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to start testing the Xbox Cloud Gaming limited beta for Windows 10 PCs and Apple phones and tablets via web browsers,” Microsoft’s Catherine Gluckstein declared.

“We’re launching xbox.com/play where invitees can play over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles through Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari,” she continued. “Offering cloud gaming through the browser and having a simplified, universal landing page presents a great opportunity to make cloud gaming approachable to more players in more places over time.”

Access will be limited at first, and only to the 22 regions where the full Xbox Cloud Streaming product is available (so not Australia, as we’re still within a Preview Program which is also limited to Android). Invites will be sent out to those who can participate, so check your emails if you’re keen.

As a recap, supported regions include Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

We’ll let you know when the program is rolled out to everyone… or at least everyone in the 22 regions where Xbox Cloud Streaming currently is.
