Not long to wait!
A new WWE 2K game — very likely WWE 2K22 — will be shown off during Wrestlemania 37, 2K has recently confirmed.
The WWE 2K account took to Twitter Friday afternoon in Australia, telling fans they’re “going to want to tune into [Wrestlemania].”

Fans will recall that WWE 2K21 was cancelled back in April of last year after the dismal performance of WWE 2K20. Since that time, longtime developer Yuke’s has announced it has pivoted away from 2K and is in development of a rival AEW wrestling title.
The 2K account also champions the WWE 2K Battlegrounds franchise, but a new title in that series ahead of a proper 2K one seems improbable.
This year’s Wrestlemania is a two-day affair, starting from 10.00 am AEST today, 11 April. Today’s drawcard features Bobby Lashley versus Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship alongside Sasha Banks versus Bianca Belair in the SmackDown Women’s Championship match. Tomorrow’s show kicks off at 10.00 AEST on 12 April and culminates in a Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns, Edge and Daniel Bryan. The event is available within Australia via Foxtel Main Event or the WWE Network.

Update: A teaser trailer for WWE 2K22 was shown off earlier today, complete with the tagline “It Hits Different”.

WWE 2K22 is “coming soon” though its unclear which platforms the release is targeting.
