White Xbox Series X controller spotted in the wild

A white Xbox Series X controller has been photographed over the weekend, as reported by The Verge.

The image made its way to Reddit (before being removed since) and features a white controller in the Xbox Series X configuration — you’ll notice the new, satellite-like d-pad alongside the new Share button. The Redditor who posted it says he took the image while at a party being held in Washington (the location of Microsoft’s Seattle headquarters). The photographer claims that the controller went alongside a white Xbox Series X (or S?) console, though no photographs of the console in question were provided.

The image tease has some believing that a white version of the already revealed Xbox Series X will be on offer, or at the very least Microsoft is gifting employees a special white version of the console. Others think this is confirmation of the long-rumoured Xbox Series S console, a less powerful version of Microsoft’s next-gen offerings.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
