Update 2: Surprise! Daylight savings changes mean Star Trek: Discovery‘s final two episodes will be available from 5.00 pm AEST on Fridays. Great news — get watching!
Update: New season, new update!
As per last year, a Netflix Australia representative has confirmed with Stevivor that Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 will be available from weekly from 7.00 pm AEDT on Fridays. The second season’s first episode will be available on Friday, 18 January 2019.
New episodes will be available alongside other titles like Riverdale and The Good Place. What a perfect way to start your weekend, eh?
Original story: After only two episodes, fans are likely divided over Star Trek: Discovery, airing in Australia via Netflix. There’s only one way to decide if you’re with or against First Officer Michael Burnham, and that’s to watch more episodes.
We’ve today confirmed that new episodes of Star Trek: Discovery will be released at 7.00 pm AEDT each Monday here in Australia. If there’s a better way to wind down after the start of the week, we can’t think of it.
Star Trek: Discovery will have one episode released per week. The exception, of course, was the series’ first two episodes; they were released last week as a two-hour epic.
Produced by CBS and airing on Netflix here in Australia, Star Trek: Discovery takes place ten years prior to Captain Kirk and the voyages of the original U.S.S. Enterprise. Despite sitting in Star Trek‘s timeline around the same point as Captain Christopher Pike’s command of the Enterprise, Discovery has a look and feel more akin to the Star Trek 2009 film reboot. Don’t let appearances deceive you, though — Discovery is confirmed as set in the TV timeline, not the one of the newest films.
Are you enjoying Star Trek: Discovery? Why or why not? If not, are you allowing it a couple more episodes to grow on you?
