Watch Dogs Legion confirmed by Ubisoft ahead of E3 2019

Update: Ubisoft has confirmed Watch Dogs Legion — likely ahead of schedule — after the Amazon leak.

Ubisoft took to Twitter with a cheeky confirmation we’ll see more at E3 2019 next week.

Original story: A new Watch Dogs game titled Watch Dogs Legion has been leaked by Amazon UK ahead of E3 2019.

Watch Dogs Legion is set in a near-future, dystopian version of London,” a detailed description (now removed) on the listing read (with thanks to Nerd Mag). “It’s a post-Brexit world in which society, politics and technology have changed and altered London’s fortunes. London is one of the most iconic cities in the world and has had a massive influence on all of Western Culture for centuries…”

Also confirmed is functionality that lets the player take control of any NPC found in London.

“Play as anyone,” the description continues. “Every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems.”

We’ll have more on Watch Dogs Legion as it’s made available. We’ll likely hear more from Ubisoft’s E3 2019 press conference, scheduled for 6.00 am AEST on 11 June.
